CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: LULLABY

Lullabies can be both beautiful and disturbing. With traditions dating back centuries and having roots in many cultures, the children’s lullaby has always fascinated me. This is a juried exhibition that welcomes submissions in all mediums.

  • There are no size restrictions, however Lee Contemporary Art is not a large gallery so small to medium sized work is preferred.

  • Payments can be made in person at the time of drop-off or via e-transfer.

  • If paying by e-transfer, please email your submission to me first, and include your name and titles in the message section of the e-transfer so I can match up applicants with their payments.

  • Successful applicants will be notified Monday October 22 before 5 pm.

  • Artwork drop-off day is Saturday October 27 from 2pm-4pm.

Troy Hourie: Paracosms Opening Reception

Please join Aurora based artist Troy Hourie to celebrate the opening of his first solo exhibition at Lee Contemporary Art.  For this exhibition, Troy has created a series of "cabinets of wonder" and photographs based on the notion of Paracosms; which are reflections of detailed childhood imaginary worlds.  This exhibition will be interactive, and visitors, especially children, are encouraged to draw their own paracosms.
